My Therapy Style: Individualized, Honest, and Built for Real Change

As a counselor, my priority is simple: every client deserves to feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. Therapy should be a space where you can show up as you are without judgment and feel confident that your experiences matter.

At the same time, I recognize an important truth: no therapist is the right fit for everyone. And that’s okay. Finding the right therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of meaningful progress.

A Structured Yet Compassionate Approach

As an OCD and anxiety therapist, I use a direct and structured approach paired with deep respect and empathy for each client. My goal is not just to listen, but to actively help you make progress.

Every case is carefully assessed using individualized and appropriate measures. No two clients are the same, and your treatment should reflect that.

What Makes My Approach Different

Something that truly sets my work apart is how deeply I individualize treatment.

Many therapists use evidence-based approaches and that’s important. But too often, those approaches are applied in a generalized, “one-size-fits-all” way.

That’s not how I work.

I don’t just plug you into a standard treatment model. Instead:

  • I develop a personalized treatment plan based on your specific needs
  • Then, I create a tailored, week-by-week therapeutic plan using evidence-based strategies adapted specifically for you
  • Your feedback is central to the process

You are not a passive participant in therapy. You are an active collaborator.

If something in your plan doesn’t feel right, we talk about it. If needed, we adjust it or completely recreate it so you feel comfortable, confident, and aligned with the direction of your care.

Breaking the Cycle

Since beginning my work in the mental health field in 2010, I’ve seen a pattern: many clients cycle in and out of the healthcare system without lasting change.

Why?

Because too often, treatment is standardized rather than personalized.

That approach can unintentionally keep people stuck.

My goal is different. I want my clients to:

  • Learn tools that actually work for their lives
  • Build confidence in managing their symptoms
  • Experience real, lasting improvement

Ideally, therapy shouldn’t be something you rely on forever. If you return, it should be for a short “refresh” not because you’re stuck in the same place.

Let’s See If We’re a Good Fit
